DisassemblingtheFrontLiftCylinder
1.Removeanyuidfromthecylinderbyslowlypumpingthecylinderrodwhile
holdingthecylinderoveradrainpan.
2.Plugbothcylinderportsandcleantheoutsideofthecylinder.
IMPORTANT
Donotclampvisejawsagainstthecylinderbarrel.Clamponthe
clevisONLY .
3.Mountthecylindersecurelyinavisebyclampingontheclevisendofthe
barrel.Usingavisewithsoftjawsisrecommended.
4.Useaspannerwrenchtorotatetheinternalcollarcounterclockwiseuntilit
isfreeofthecylinderbarrel.
5.Removetheplugsfromtheports.Extracttherod,theheadandthepiston
assemblyfromthebarrelbycarefullytwistingandpullingontherod.
IMPORTANT
Donotclampvisejawsagainstthecylinderrodsurface.Clampon
theclevisONLY.
6.Mountthecylinderrodsecurelyinavisebyclampingontheclevisoftherod.
Usingavisewithsoftjawsisrecommended.
7.Removethelocknutfromtherod.Slidethepistonandtheheadofftherod.
8.Removethewearring,theseals,theback−upringandtheO−ringsfromthe
pistonandthehead.
AssemblingtheFrontLiftCylinder
1.Makesureallthecylindercomponentsarecleanbeforeassembly.
2.Coatthenewwearrings,theO−rings,thesealsandtheback−upringwith
cleanhydraulicuid.
A.Installthewearringandthesealtotheoutsideofthepiston.
B.InstalltheO−ringtotheinnerboreofthepiston.
C.InstalltheO−ring,theback−upringandtherodsealstothecylinderhead.
IMPORTANT
Donotclampvisejawsagainstthecylinderrodsurface.Clampon
theclevisONLY.
3.Mountthecylinderrodsecurelyinavisebyclampingontheclevisoftherod.
Usingavisewithsoftjawsisrecommended.
A.Coattherodwithalightlayerofcleanhydraulicuid.
B.Carefullyslidetheheadassemblyandthenthepistonassemblyontothe
rod.Installthelocknutontotherodandtightento54N−m(40ft−lb).
C.Removetherodassemblyfromthevise.
4.Coatalltheinternalpartswithalightlayerofcleanhydraulicuid.Slide
thepiston,therodandheadassemblyintothebarrelbeingcarefultonot
damagetheseals.
