RemovingtheHydraulicTank
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.Lowerthecuttingunits,stoptheengine,
engagetheparkingbrakeandremovethekeyfromtheignitionswitch.
2.ReadandadheretotheinformationprovidedinGeneralPrecautionsfor
RemovingandInstallingtheHydraulicSystemComponents(page4–71).
3.Drainhydraulicuidfromthetankthroughthepumpinlethoseintoasuitable
container.
4.Labelallthehydraulicconnectionsforproperassembly.
5.Disconnectthehydraulichoseassembliesfromthehydraulicttings.Allow
thehosestodrainintoasuitablecontainer.Capandplugthehydraulichoses
andttingstopreventsystemcontaminations.
IMPORTANT
Followalllocalcodesandregulationswhenrecyclingordisposing
thehydraulicuidandlters.
6.Removethecapscrewssecuringthecarboncanisterassemblytothe
hydraulictank.
7.Removethethree(3)capscrews,atwashersandbushingssecuringthe
hydraulictanktothemachineframe.Supportthecarboncanisterassembly
andremovethehydraulictankfromthemachine.
8.Ifhydraulicttingsaretoberemovedfromthetank,markthettinglocation
andorientationtoallowforcorrectassembly.Removethettingsanddiscard
theO−rings.
InspectingtheHydraulicTank
1.Cleanthehydraulictankandthellerscreenwithsolvent.
2.Inspectthehydraulictankforleaks,cracksorotherdamage.
3.Replaceanywornordamagedhydraulichoses.
InstallingtheHydraulicTank
Note:Inspectthethreadsandthesealingsurfacesofthehydraulicttings
andthehydraulichosespriortoinstallation.Replaceanydamagedorworn
ttingsorhoses.
Ifthehydraulictankisbeinginstalled,replacethespoutinthebreatherneck
withagrommetstyleplug.
