Thecuttingunitraiseandlowerswitchesarelocatedonthejoystickbracket.The
rearswitchisusedtolowerthecuttingunitsandthefrontswitchisusedtoraise
thecuttingunits.Theswitchesareidentical.Eachswitchincludesacommon
terminal,anormallyopenterminalandanormallyclosedterminal.
TestingtheJoystickSwitches
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandlowerthecuttingunits.Makesure
theengineisoffandthekeyswitchisintheOFFposition.
2.Raisetheoperatorseatandaccesstheswitchfromunderthepod(cover).
3.Disconnectthewireharnessfromtheswitchanduseamultimeter(ohms
setting)todeterminewhethercontinuityexistsbetweenthevariousterminals
foreachswitchposition:refertotheJoystickSwitchT estingReference
(page5–21).
4.Replacetheswitchifnecessary.
5.Iftheswitchtestscorrectlyandacircuitproblemstillexists,checkthewire
harnesses;refertoAppendixA(pageA–1).
6.Connectthewireharnesstotheswitchbeforereturningthemachineto
service.
