1.Makesurethatalldriveplatebearings,bushingsandsealsareingood
conditionandproperlyinstalled.
2.Applyalightcoatingofgreasetothedriveendofthegroomerreelshaft
andtotheseallipsinthedriveplate.
3.Positiontheshimonthedriveplateassembly.
4.ApplyalightcoatingofgreasetotheO-ringonthedriveplatepivothuband
thepilotboreofthecuttingunitsideplate.
5.Carefullytthedriveplateassemblyontothegroomershaftandintothepilot
boreofthecuttingunitsideplate.Securethedriveplatetothecuttingunit
sideplatewithtwoshoulderbolts.Makesurethegroomerreel,thedrive
plateandtheidlerarmrotatefreelyafterinstallation.
6.Installtheidlerarmextensionspring.

atsprovidedonthegroomerreelshafttopreventthegroomerreelfrom
turning,tightenthelocknutfrom24to28N∙m(17to21ft-lb).
8.Safelypreventthereelfromrotatingbyblockingthecuttingreelwithapiece
ofwoodnearoneofthereelspiders.
9.Installthedrivepulleytothecuttingreelshaftandtightento170N∙m(120
ft-lb).
10.InsertthefrontrollerintotheRHgroomerarm.
11.InstalltheLHgroomerarm:
A.Applyanti-seizelubricanttotheshoulderofthegroomerarmliftrod.
B.Positionthegroomerarmoverthefrontroller,throughthedriveplate
bushingandagainstthecuttingunitsideplate.Makesurethecuttingunit
sideplatetsbetweentheheightadjustmentboltheadandshoulder.
C.Securethegroomerarmtothecuttingunitsideplatewiththeplowbolt,
specialwasherandlocknut.
