InstallingtheIdlerAssembly
1.Iftheshields,bearing,orbushingwasremovedfromtheidlerarm:
A.Pressthebushingintoagroomerplateuntilthebushingiscenteredin
theidlerarmbore.
B.Pressthebearingintotheidlerarmsothatthebearingcontactsthe
shoulderinidlerarmboreandinstallthebearingretainingring.
C.Installthebearingshieldswiththeockedsideoftheshieldtowardthe
bearing.
D.Insertthestubshaftthroughtheshieldsandbearing.Usethethrough
holeintheshafttopreventtheshaftfromrotatingandtightentheange
nutfrom37to45N∙m(27to33ft-lb).
E.Ifthecollarwasremovedfromtheidlerarm,installthecollarandtighten
from33to41N∙m(24to30ft-lb).
2.FitanewO-ringtothemotoradapter.
3.Applyanti-seizelubricanttotheoutsidediameterofthemotoradapterand
positiontheidlerarmovertheadapter.
4.Usenewlocknutsandsecurethemotoradapterandidlerarmtothecutting
unitsideplate.
5.Installtheclevispinandanewcotterpintosecuretheheightadjustmentrod
tothefrontoftheidlerarm.
6.Installthereelmotor;refertoInstallingtheReelMotors(page4–111).
