heightadjustmentrods.Retrottingtheassembliesoneachsideofthecutting
unitwithnewcompressionsprings,heightadjustmentrods,andaddingange
nutstoenablespringadjustmentisrecommended;refertoFigure155.
DisassemblingtheHeightAdjuster
1.Parkthemachineonacleanandlevelsurface,lowerthecuttingunits
completelytotheground,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthe
keyswitch.
2.Removethecuttingunitfromthemachine.
3.Removethecotterpinsandclevispinsthatsecuretheheightadjustment
rodstothegroomergearboxandidlerarm.Discardthecotterpins.
4.Loosenthepinchboltsthatsecurethefrontrollertotheheight-of-cut
brackets.
5.Removethehexnuts,tabbedwashersandplowboltsthatsecurethe
height-of-cutbracketstothecuttingunitsideplates,andremovetheheight
adjustersandfrontrollerfromthecuttingunit.
6.Disassembletheheightadjusterassemblyasnecessary.
7.Replacecomponentsthatarewornordamaged.
