Donotsmokewhilehandlinggasoline.
Donotllthefueltankwhiletheengineisrunning,whilethe
engineishot,orwhenthemachineisinanenclosedarea.
Alwaysllthefueltankoutsideandwipeupanyspilledgasoline
beforestartingtheengine.
Storegasolineinaclean,safety-approvedcontainerandkeep
thecapinplace.
Usegasolineasanenginefuelonly,notforanyotherpurpose.
CAUTION
Themuferandexhaustmanifoldmaybehot.Toavoidpossible
burns,allowexhaustsystemtocoolbeforeworkingontheengine.
CheckingtheFuelLinesandConnections
Checkthefuellinesandconnectionsatthescheduledmaintenanceintervals
recommendedintheTractionUnitOperator'sManual.Checkthelinesfor
deterioration,damage,leaks,orlooseconnections.Replacethehoses,clamps,
andttingsasnecessary.
RemovingtheFuelTank
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingunits,shutoffthe
engine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Allowtheenginetocompletelycool.
3.Drainfueltank:
A.Closefuelshut-offvalve
B.Disconnectfuelhose(item14inFigure7)atthefuelshut-offvalveand
drainanyfueltrappedinthefuellterandfuelhoseintoasuitable
container.
C.Useasparelengthoffuelhoseandthefuelshut-offvalvetodrainfuel
tankcontentscompletelyintoasuitablecontainer.
4.Disconnecttheventhosefromthetopofthefueltank.
5.Removefour(4)capscrews,grommetsandatwasherssecuringthefuel
tanktothevehicleframeandremovethefueltank.
