IMPORTANT
Whenservicingthe3WDtractionmotor,useacleanworkspace
withanon-metalsurface.Themotorrotorincludesverypowerful
magnetsthatcancausetherotortomoveunexpectedlyifworking
onametalsurface.Also,anymetallicdebristhatgetsattractedto
therotorcandamagethemotorafterassembly.
RefertoFigure107forthisprocedure.
1.Inspectthe3WDtractionmotorcableforwearordamage.replacecable
componentsorcomplete3WDtractionmotorassemblyifnecessary.
2.Carefullyremoveanddiscardthelipsealfromthehousingassembly.
3.Removethesixcapscrewsthatsecurethemotorcovertorearofmotor
housing.Donotremovethemotorcoveratthistime.
4.Securethebaseplateofthemotorrotortool(Toropartnumber139–8420)to
thehousingwithfourM6–1.0X50capscrews.
