2.Movetheon/offswitchtotheOnposition.
3.MovethethrottlecontroltotheFastposition.
4.Openthefuelshut-offvalveontheengine.
5.Movethechokelevertothehalf-openpositionwhen
startingacoldengine.Thechokemaynotberequired
whenstartingawarmengine.
6.Pulltherecoilstarterhandleoutuntilpositive
engagementresults,thenpullitvigorouslytostartthe
engine.Openthechokeastheenginewarmsup.
Important:Donotpulltherecoilropetoitslimit
orletgoofthestarterhandlewhentheropeis
pulledoutbecausetheropemaybreakorrecoil
assemblymaybedamaged.
StoppingtheEngine
1.Movethetractionandreeldrivecontrolstothe
Disengagedposition,thethrottlecontroltoSlow ,and
theon/offswitchtoOff.
2.Pullthemoldedsparkplugwireoffofthesparkplug
topreventthepossibilityofaccidentalstartingbefore
storingthemachine.
3.Closethefuelshut-offvalvebeforestoringor
transportingthemowerinavehicle.
TransportingtheMachine
Note:Donotrunthemowerenginewhiletransportingitin
atransporttrailerbecausedamagecanoccurtothemower.
Iftheoptionaltransportwheelsarenotgoingtobeinstalled,
proceedtostep4.
1.Pushthekickstanddownwithfootandpulluponthe
handlesupportuntilthekickstandhasrotatedforward,
overcenter.
2.Installthetransportwheels.
3.Toreleasethekickstand,pulluponthehandleand
lowertherearofthemowerontothetransportwheels.
