7.Engagethebrakeleverandrotatethelatch.Verify
thattheswitchlosescontinuity.Replacetheswitch,
ifrequired.

Iftheservice/parkingbrakeslipswhenoperated,an
adjustmenttothecableisrequired.
1.Movetheservice/parkingbrakelevertotheOff
position.
2.Removethecontrolpanel.
3.Toincreasethecabletension,loosentheuppercable
jamnutandtightenthelowercablejamnut(Figure40)
untilaforceof156N(35lb)appliedtothebrakelever
handle,isrequiredtoreleasetheparkingbrakelatch.
Donotoveradjust,orthebrakebandmaydrag.
