after the battery cable has been secured to the battery
terminal.

Dielectric Gel
Dielectric gel should be used to prevent corrosion of
connectionterminals.Toensurecompletecoatingofter-
minals, liberally apply gel to both component and wire
harness connector, plug connector to c omponent, un-
plug connector, reapply gelto both surfaces andrecon-
nect harness connector to component. Connectors
should be thoroughly packed with gel for effective re-
sults.
