MaintenanceandStorage
Parkthemachineonlevelground,disengagethe
drives,lowerthecuttingunits,settheparking
brake,stoptheengine,removethekey,and
disconnectsparkplugwire(s).Waitforall
movementtostopbeforeadjusting,cleaning,or
repairingthemachine.
Cleangrassanddebrisfromcuttingunits,drives,
mufers,andtheenginetohelppreventres.
Cleanupoilorfuelspills.
Lettheenginecoolbeforestoringanddonotstore
themachinenearames.
Shutoffthefuelwhilestoringortransportingthe
machine.Donotstorefuelnearamesordrain
thefueltankindoors.
Neverallowuntrainedpersonneltoservicethe
machine.
Usejackstandstosupportcomponentswhen
required.
Carefullyreleasepressurefromcomponentswith
storedenergy.
Disconnectthebatteryandremovethesparkplug
wire(s)beforemakinganyrepairs.Disconnect
thenegativeterminalrstandthepositivelast.
Connectthepositiveterminalrstandthenegative
terminallast.
Usecareandweargloveswhencheckingthe
reels.
Keephandsandfeetawayfrommovingparts.If

running.
Chargebatteriesinanopen,well-ventilatedarea,
awayfromsparkandames.Unplugthecharger
beforeconnectingordisconnectingitfromthe
battery.Wearprotectiveclothinganduseinsulated
tools.
Keepallpartsingoodworkingconditionandall
hardwareandhydraulicttingstightened.Replace
allwornordamageddecals.

Operation
Knowhowtostoptheenginequickly.
Checkthesafetyinterlockswitchesdailyforproper
operation.
Beforeattemptingtostarttheengine,disengage
allbladeattachmentclutches,shiftintoneutral,
andengagetheparkingbrake.
Usingthemachinedemandsattention.T oprevent
lossofcontrol:
Donotdriveclosetosandtraps,ditches,
creeks,orotherhazards.
Reducespeedwhenmakingsharpturns.
Avoidsuddenstopsandstarts.
Thismachineisnotdesignedorequippedfor
on-roaduseandisa“slow-movingvehicle.”
Ifyoumustcrossortravelonapublicroad,
youshouldbeawareofandcomplywith
localregulations,suchasrequiredlights,
slow-movingvehiclesigns,andreectors.
Watchoutfortrafcwhennearorcrossing
roads.Alwaysyieldtheright-of-way.
Applytheservicebrakeswhengoingdownhill
tokeepforwardspeedslowandtomaintain
controlofthemachine.
Thegrassbasketsmustbeinplaceduring
operationofthereelsorthatchersformaximum
safety.Shuttheengineoffbeforeemptyingthe
baskets.
Raisethecuttingunitswhendrivingfrom1work
areatoanother.
Donottouchtheengine,mufer,orexhaustpipe
whiletheengineisrunningorsoonafterithas
stoppedbecausetheseareascouldbehotenough
tocauseburns.
Stayclearoftherotatingscreenatthesideofthe
enginetopreventdirectcontactwithyourbody
orclothing.
Ifacuttingunitstrikesasolidobjectorvibrates
abnormally,stopimmediately,turntheengineoff,
waitforallmotiontostop,andinspectthemachine
fordamage.Repairorreplaceadamagedreelor
bedknifebeforecontinuingoperation.
Beforegettingofftheseat,movethefunctional
controllevertoNEUTRAL,raisethecuttingunits,
andwaitforthereelstostopspinning.Setthe
parkingbrake.Stoptheengineandremovethe
keyfromtheignitionswitch.
