CAUTION
Beforeopeningthehydraulicsystem,operateallthehydraulic
controlstoreleasesystempressureandavoidinjuryfromthe
pressurizedhydraulicuid;refertoReleasingPressurefromthe
HydraulicSystem(page4–11).
WARNING
Iftheliftcontrolmanifoldisattachedtothemachine,ensurethatthe
cuttingdeckisfullyloweredandsupportedbeforelooseningthe
hydrauliclines,andcartridgevalves,orplugsfromtheliftmanifold.
Ifthecuttingdeckisintheraisedpositionwhilethemanifold
componentsareloosened,thedeckmaydropunexpectedly.
IMPORTANT
The2solenoidvalvesintheliftcontrolmanifoldaredifferent.
Labelthevalvesbeforeremovalsothatthevalvescanbecorrectly
installedintothemanifold.
1.Ensurethattheliftcontrolmanifoldiscleanbeforeyouremovethecartridge
valvefromthemanifold.
2.Removethenutthatsecurethesolenoidcoiltothecartridgevalve.Carefully
slidethecoiloffthevalve.
IMPORTANT
Carefullyhandlethecartridgevalve.Slightbendingordistortionof
thestemtubecancausebindingandmalfunction.Whenremoving
thecartridgevalvefromthemanifold,ensurethatthedeepwell
socketfullyengagesthevalvebase.
3.Useadeepsocketwrenchtoremovethecartridgevalvefromthemanifold.
NotethecorrectlocationoftheO-rings,sealingrings,andback-uprings.
4.Removeanddiscardthesealkitfromthecartridgevalve.
5.Visuallyexaminetheportinthemanifoldfordamagedsealingsurfaces,
damagedthreads,andcontamination.
6.Visuallyinspectthecartridgevalvefordamagedsealingsurfacesand
contamination.
A.Contaminationcancausethevalvestostickorhangup.Contamination
canaccumulateinsmallvalveoricesorsealareasandcause
malfunction.
B.Ifthesealingsurfacesofthevalvearepittedordamaged,thehydraulic
systemcanbetoohotortherecanbewaterinthesystem.
