TheGroundsmaster7210machineuses3fusiblelinksforthecircuitprotection.
ThesefusiblelinksarelocatedinaharnessthatconnectsthestarterB+terminal
tothemainwireharness.Ifanyoftheselinksfail,currenttotheprotectedcircuit
stops;refertotheElectricalSchematicsinAppendixA—FoldoutDrawings.
EnsurethatthekeyswitchisintheOFFposition,disconnectthenegativebattery
cablefromthebatteryterminal,andthendisconnectthepositivecablefrom
thebattery;refertoServicingtheBattery(page5–61).Locateandunplugthe
fusiblelinkconnectorP1fromthemachinewireharness.Useamultimeterto
ensurethatthecontinuityexistsbetweeneachterminalpinintheconnector
P1andconnectorJ1atthestarter(Figure160).Ifanyofthefusiblelinksare
open,replacethefusiblelinkharness.
Note:Ensureanyconditionsthatmayhavedamagedthefusiblelinkshave
beenidentiedandrepaired.
Afteryoucompletethetesting,ensurethatthefusiblelinkharnessconnectors
arecorrectlyattachedtothestarterandmachinewireharness.Connectthe
positivebatterycabletothebatteryterminalandthenconnectthenegativecable
tothebattery.
