Thesystemcommunicationbetweentheelectricalcomponentsonthe
Groundsmaster7210machineisaccomplishedonaCAN-buscommunication
system.The2speciallydesigned,twistedwiresformthebusforthenetwork
areusedonyourmachine.Thesewiresprovidethedatapathwaysbetween
themachinecomponents.Attheendofthetwistedpairofbuswiresnearthe
InfoCenterdisplayisa120ohmCAN-busterminatorresistor.
TheCAN-busterminatorresistorplugsintotheplatformwireharnessinthe
controlarm.Theresistorcanbeaccessedbyremovingthecoverplateonthe
rightsideofthecontrolarm.
ThesecondCAN-busterminatorresistorplugsintotheplatformwireharness
belowthefuelpumpneartheleftfueltank.Theresistorcanbeaccessedby
removingtheoperatorsearandrearpanel.
Note:Theinsulatorwedgeintheterminatorresistorisblueforidentication
purposes.Therealsoisacenterkeywaytopreventtheterminatorresistorfrom
pluggingintothewrongwireharnessconnector.

inAppendixA—FoldoutDrawingsforadditionalinformationonthelocationofthe
terminatorresistorandwireconnections.
TestingtheCAN-busTerminatorResistor
Testtheterminatorresistor(Figure173)usingadigitalmultimeter(ohmssetting).
TheresistancebetweentheterminalsAandBoftheterminatorresistorshould
be120ohms.TheterminalCisnotusedontheGroundsmaster7210machine.
