1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowertheimplement,shutoffthe
engine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Removethewheelsasnecessarytogetaccesstothewheelhub(s);refer
toRemovingthePolarTracWheels(page6–6).
3.Supportthemachinewithjackstands.
4.Removethedustcapfromthewheelhub.
5.Removethecotterpinandslottedhexnut.Slidethewheelhubwithbearings
fromthespindleshaft.
6.Removethesealfromthewheelhubanddiscardtheseal.
7.Removethebearingconesfrombothsidesofthewheelhub.
8.Cleanthebearingsinsolvent,andcleantheinsideofthewheelhub.
Note:Ensurethatthebearingsareingoodoperatingcondition.
9.Inspectthebearingcupsforwear,pitting,orotherdamage.Replaceall
thepartsthatarewornordamaged.
AssemblingthePolarTracWheelHub
1.Ifthebearingcupswereremovedfromthewheelhub,pressnewcupsinto
thehubuntiltheyseatagainsttheshoulderofthehub.
2.Packthe2bearingswithgreaseandinstall1bearingintothebearingcupon
theinboardsideofthewheelhub.
IMPORTANT
Thelipofthesealmustbetowardthebearing.Pressthesealinto
thewheelhubsothatitisushwiththeendofthewheelhub.
