3.Lubricatetheinsideofanewsealandpressthesealintothewheelhub
withthesealliptowardthebearing.
4.Fillthewheelhubcavitybetweenthebearingswithapproximately50%fullof
grease.Positiontheremainingbearingintotheouterbearingcup.
5.Slidethewheelhubassemblyontothespindleshaftandthreadtheslotted
hexnutontotheshaft.Donotfullytightenthenutorinstallthecotterpin.
6.Whileyouturnthewheelhubbyhand,torquetheslottedhexnutto8.5to
11.3N∙m(75to100in-lb)tosetthebearingsandthenloosenthenutuntil
thehubhasend-play.
7.Whileyouturnthewheelhubbyhand,torquetheslottedhexnutto1.7to2.3
N∙m(15to20in-lb).Also,alignthehexnutslotwiththeshafthole.
Note:Afteryoutightenthehexnut,ensurethatthewheelhubdoesnot
haveanyfree-play.
8.Installthecotterpinandinstallthedustcap.
9.Installthedrivetrackandwheelstothemachine;refertoInstallingthePolar
TracWheels(page6–8).
Note:Ensurethatthedrivetrackisinstalledinthecorrectdirectionof
rotation.
10.Lowerthemachinetothegroundandtorqueallthewheel-lugnutsto88to
115N∙m(65to85ft-lb)inacrossingpattern.
