CheckingtheFuelLinesandConnections
Checkthefuellinesandconnectionsatthescheduledmaintenanceintervals
recommendedintheOperator’sManual.Checkthelinesfordeterioration,
damage,leaks,orlooseconnections.Replacethehoses,clamps,andttings
asnecessary.
DrainingandCleaningtheFuelTank
Drainandcleanthefueltankatthemaintenanceintervalsasrecommended
intheOperator’sManual.Ifthefuelsystembecomescontaminatedorifthe
machineisstoredforanextendedperiod,drainandcleanthefueltank.
IMPORTANT
Followalllocalcodesandregulationswhenrecyclingordisposing
wastefuel.
Todrainthefueltank,suckorsiphonthefuelfromthetank,orremovethetank
fromthemachineandpourthecontentsintoasuitablecontainer.
Tocleanthefueltank,ushthetankoutwithcleangasolinefuel.Ensurethat
thefueltankisfreeofallcontaminationanddebris.
RemovingtheFuelTank
RefertoFigure9forthisprocedure.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,shutofftheengine,andremovethekey
fromthekeyswitch.
2.Recordthefuelhoseroutingforinstallationpurposes.Disconnectthefuel
hosesfromthefueltankttings,thencoverorplugthehosesandttingsto
preventcontaminationfromenteringthefuelsystem.
3.Removetheangenutsandholddownstrapsfromthemachineandremove
thefueltank.
4.Disassemblythefueltankasnecessary.
