14.Removethemufer,mufermount,andengineshafthubifnecessary.
InstallingtheEngine
RefertoFigure11forthisprocedure.
1.Ensurethatallpartsthatwereremovedfromtheengineareproperlyinstalled.
2.Ifthemuferwasremoved:
A.Removeanyremaininggasketmaterialandinstallnewexhaustgaskets.
B.Tightenthenutsthatsecurethemufertotheengineto24N·m(18
ft-lbs).
3.Iftheengineshafthubwasremoved:
A.Cleanthetapersoftheshaftandhub.
B.Installawoodruffkeyintheengineshaft.
C.Applymediumstrengththreadlockingcompoundandinstallthehub,
washer,andhubretainingbolt.
D.Tightenthehubretainingboltfrom37to45N·m(27to33ft-lb).
4.Installthemufermountifpreviouslyremoved.

IMPORTANT
Wheninstallingtheengineensurethatyoudonotdamagethe
engine,fuelhoses,electricalharness,orotherparts.
5.Carefullypositiontheengineonthechassis.
6.Installthe4ange-headscrewsandangenutsthatsecuretheengineto
thechassisngertight.
7.UsetheShaftAlignmentT ooltoaligntheengineoutputshafttotheblower
shaft;refertoAligningtheEngineandBlowerDriveShafts(page4–4).
8.Fittherubbercouplingspacersintothecouplingsandpositionthedriveshaft
assemblybetweentheengineshaftandblowershafthubs.
