Whenservicingortroubleshootingtheengineelectricalcomponents,usethe
correctengineservicemanualandtroubleshootingmanual.TheKohlerengine
serviceandmanualisavailableonline,andontheT oroServiceReferenceash
drive.
ToroElectronicController(TEC)
WirelesscontrolledProForceDebrisBlowers(Models44552,44552TE,and
44553)useaToroElectronicController(TEC)tomanagemachineelectrical
functions.TheTECisa2403seriesmicrocontrollerthatmonitorsthecondition
ofvariousmachineswitches(inputs)anddirectselectricalpowertocontrol
appropriatemachinefunctions(outputs)basedonthestateoftheinputs.The
TECworksinconjunctionwiththeT oroWirelessModules(TWMs)tomanage
powertotheenginestartrelayandthenozzlecontrolrelays.TheTECalso
managespowertothefollowingKohlerenginecomponents:governorcontrol
unit,thefuelshut-offsolenoid,andtheignitionmodules.
TheTECisattachedtothemachinecontroltower.PowerfortheTEClogicand
memoryisavailableatalltimes(unswitched).Thelogicandmemorycircuitis
protectedbya2Ampfuse(F−4).PowerfortheTECoutputsisavailablewhen
themainpowerrelayisenergized(keyswitchisintheONorSTARTposition).A
pairof7.5Ampfuses(F−1andF–2)protecttheTECoutputcircuits.
TheT oroElectronicController(TEC)andtheT oroWirelessModules(TWMs)
communicatewitheachotheronaControllerAreaNetwork(CAN)bussystem.
Note:TheT oroElectronicController(TEC)andtheT oroWirelessModules
(TWMs)usedontheProForceDebrisBlowerarematchedforcorrectmachine
operation.Ifanyofthesecomponentsarereplacedforanyreason,system
