Thehandheldremoteisasolidstateelectricaldevicethatsendsandreceives
radiofrequency(RF)signalstoandfromtheRF2CANmodule.Thehandheld
remotetoRF2CANmodulerangeshouldbeapproximately4.6m(15ft).The
handheldremotecanonlybeassociatedtoonespecicRF2CANmodule.Refer
tothemachineOperator’sManualforthehandheldremotetoRF2CAN(base)
associationprocedure.
Theremotetransmitteractivates(powersup)whenyoupressanybutton.Then,
whenabuttonontheremotetransmitterispressed,theLEDontheremote
shouldilluminateindicatingtheremoteisattemptingtotransmitasignal.T o
conservebatterypower,theremotetransmittertimesoutandpowersdown,all
remotetransmitterLEDactivitystopsuntilanybuttonontheremoteispressed.
Theremotetransmitterispoweredby4AAA(1.5V)alkalinebatteries.Ifthe
rangeofthetransmitterhasdiminishedorthetransmitterLEDdoesnotilluminate
whenabuttonispressed,thebatteriesshouldbereplaced.
Thediagnosticlightshouldilluminatewhileabuttononthehandheldremoteis
pressed.Thisfeaturecanbeusedto:
•conrmtheassociationbetweenthehandheldremoteandtheRF2CAN
module
•checkthehandheldremoteoperatingrange
