TestingtheHourMeter
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandstoptheengine.
2.Disconnectthebatterynegative(-)cableatthebattery.
3.Disconnectthewireharnessconnectorfromthehourmeterandremovethe
hourmeterfromthecontroltowerifnecessary.
4.Connectthepositive(+)terminalofthehourmetertothepositive(+)terminal
ofa12VDCpowersource.
5.Connectthenegative(-)terminalofthe12VDCpowersourcetotheother
terminalofthehourmeter.
6.Thehourmetershouldmove1/10ofanhourin6minutes.
7.Disconnectthevoltagesourcefromthehourmeter.
8.Replacethehourmeterifnecessary.
9.Ifthehourmetertestscorrectlyandacircuitproblemstillexists,checkthe
wireharnesses;refertoAppendixA(pageA–1).
10.Installthehourmeterandconnectthewireharnessaftertesting.
11.Connectthebatterynegative(-)cableatthebattery.
