TestingtheRelays
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandstoptheengine.
2.Disconnectthebatterynegative(-)cableatthebattery.
3.Locatetherelaytobetestedanddisconnectthewireharnessconnectorfrom
therelay.Removetherelayfromthecontroltowerifnecessary.
Note:Beforetakingthesmallresistancereadingswithadigitalmultimeter,
shortthemultimetertestleadstogether.Themeterdisplaysasmall
resistancevalue(usually0.5ohmsorless).Thisresistanceisbecauseofthe
internalresistanceofthemultimeterandtestleads.Subtractthisvaluefrom
themeasuredvalueofthecomponentthatyouaretesting.
