Crankshaft Installation
1. Put thread lock Loctite on the oil gallery plugs and
install them in the cylinder block.
2. Install the grooved main bearing shells. (See
Crankshaft in the Inspection and Specifications section
for main bearing shell thickness.)

3. Install the crankshaft.
4. Install the no. 3, 4 and 5 main bearing caps.
5. Install the two end float half-washers (Fig. 72, Item
1)
, with the anti-friction faces towards the crankshaft.

6. Install the no. 2 main bearing cap (Fig. 73, Item 2)

h its two end float half-washers, with the anti-friction
faces towards the crankshaft.
