cutting unit engagement switch is on, with the front axle in low gear, and cutting
units lowered, the solenoid valve on each cutting unit motor will allow oil to
flow through the motor to turn the reel. An interlock switch on the front axle
allows the electric solenoid valves to engage the reel motors only when the
axle is in low gear. An interlock switch in each lift arm causes the electrical
solenoid valve on each motor to automatically stop the reel as the cutting unit
is lifted. Reel speed is controlled by turning a knob to change the displacement
of the pump thus increasing flow to the reel motors.
