1-DorNumber1-D/2-Dblend)below-7°C(20°F).Using
winter-gradefuelatlowertemperaturesprovideslower
ash-pointandcold-owcharacteristicsthateasestartingand
reducepluggingofthefuellter.
Usingsummer-gradefuelabove-7°C(20°F)willcontribute
towardlongerfuelpumplifeandincreasedpowercompared
towinter-gradefuel.
BiodieselReady
Thismachinecanalsouseabiodieselblendedfuelofup
toB20(20%biodiesel,80%petrodiesel).Thepetrodiesel
portionshouldbeloworultra-lowsulfur.Observethe
followingprecautions:
•Thebiodieselportionofthefuelmustmeetspecication
ASTMD6751orEN14214.
•TheblendedfuelcompositionshouldmeetASTMD975
orEN590.
•Paintedsurfacesmaybedamagedbybiodieselblends.
•UseB5(biodieselcontentof5%)orlesserblendsincold
weather
•Monitorseals,hoses,andgasketsincontactwithfuelas
theymaybedegradedovertime.
•Expectpluggingofthefuellterforatimeafter
convertingtobiodieselblends.
•ContactyourauthorizedTorodistributorformore
informationonbiodiesel.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecutting
units,engagetheparkingbrake,shutofftheengine,
andremovethekey.
2.Cleantheareaaroundthefuel-tankcap(Figure27).
3.Removethefuel-tankcap.
4.Fillthetanktothebottomofthellerneck.Donot
overllthetank.Installthecap.
5.Wipeupanyspilledfuel.
