4. Open the air-bleed screw on the fuel-
injection pump.
5. Turn the ignition key to the O
N position.
Note: The electric fuel pump runs, forcing air
out around the air-bleed screw.
6. Tighten the screw and turn the ignition key to
the O
FF position.
7. Close and latch the hood.
Draining the Fuel Tank
1. Prepare the machine for maintenance.

2. Align a drain pan under the fuel tank-drain
valve
.
3. Open the drain valve and allow the fuel to drain
from the tank.
4. Use clean fuel to flush out the tank.
5. Close the drain valve.
Inspecting the Fuel Lines and Connections
1. Inspect the fuel lines for deterioration, damage, or loose connections.
2. Replace any deteriorated clamps or hoses.
Note: Prime the fuel system if you replace any fuel lines.
