3.Ifpreviouslyremoved,installthefan.Thefanmustbottomagainsttheendof
thepumpshaft.Tightenthecapscrewsecuringthefantothepumpshaft
from3.0to3.5N·m(28to32in-lb).
4.Applyathinlayerofanti-seizelubricanttotheboreofthepumphub.
5.Installthekeyinthepumpshaft.
IMPORTANT
Becarefulnottodamagethepump,pumpcoupling,fueland
hydrauliclines,electricalharnessorotherpartswhileinstallingthe
piston(traction)pumptothemachine.
6.Alignthepumpshafttothepumphub.Slidethepumptowardtherearof
machineuntilthemountingangecontactstheenginesupportandinstallthe
fastenerssecuringthepumptotheenginesupport.
7.Ensurethepumphubisatleast2.5mm(0.1inch)fromthefaceofthe
pistonpumpandtightenthepumphubsetscrewsfrom10to13N·m(90
to120in-lb).
8.Installthefastenerssecuringthehydraulicuidlterassemblytothepiston
pump,thentightenthefastenersfrom15to24N·m(11to18ft-lb).
9.Installthetractioncontroldamper.
10.Removethecapsandplugsfromthehydraulicttingsandhydrauliclines
theninstallthehydrauliclinestothepiston(traction)pump;refertoInstalling
HydraulicHosesandTubes(O-RingFaceSealFitting)(page5–7).
11.Installthehydraulicuidcooler;refertoRemovingandInstallingthe
HydraulicFluidCooler(page5–68)
12.Connecttheneutralswitchtothemachinewireharness.
13.Useanewcotterpinandinstallthetractionrodassembly.
14.Installanewhydraulicuidlter;refertothetractionunitOperator’sManual.
