TractionandStoppingPedal
Thetractionpedal(Figure9)has3functions:tomove
themachineforward,tomoveitbackward,andto
stopthemachine.Usingtheheelandtoeofyourright
foot,pressthetopofthepedaltomoveforwardand
thebottomofthepedaltomovebackwardortoassist
instoppingwhenmovingforward(Figure10).Allow
thepedaltomoveormoveittotheNEUTRALposition
tostopthemachine.
Important:Whendrivingthemachineforward,
restyourheelonthefootrest;donotrestyour
healonthereversepadofthetractionpedal.

Thegroundspeedisproportionatetohowfaryou
pressthetractionpedal.Formaximumgroundspeed,
pressthepedalfullywhilethethrottleisintheFAST
position.Togetmaximumpowerorwhenascending
ahill,havethethrottleintheFASTpositionwhile
pressingthepedalslightlytokeeptheenginespeed
high.Whentheenginespeedbeginstodecrease,
releasethepedalslightlytoallowthespeedto
increase.
Important:Formaximumpullingpower,move
thethrottletotheFASTpositionandlightlypress
thetractionpedal.
