1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engagethe
parkingbrake,andlowerthegrinder.
2.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
3.Removedirtandgrimefromtheexternalpartsof
theentiremachine,especiallytheengine.Clean
dirtandchafffromtheoutsideoftheengine
cylinderheadnsandblowerhousing.
Important:Youcanwashthemachine
withmilddetergentandwater.Donot
pressure-washthemachine.Avoid
excessiveuseofwater,especiallynearthe
controlpanel,engine,hydraulicpumps,and
motors.
4.Servicetheaircleaner;refertoServicingtheAir
Cleaner(page21).
5.Greasethemachine;refertoGreasingthe
Machine(page20).
6.Changethecrankcaseoil;refertoServicingthe
EngineOil(page22).
7.Removethesparkplugandcheckthecondition
ofit;refertoServicingtheSparkPlug(s)(page
25).
8.Forstorageover30days,preparethemachine
asfollows:
A.Addfuelstabilizer/conditionertofreshfuel
inthetank.Followthemixinginstructions
fromthestabilizermanufacturer.Donot
useanalcohol-basedstabilizer(ethanolor
methanol).
B.Runtheenginetodistributeconditionedfuel
throughthefuelsystemfor5minutes.
C.Shutofftheengine,allowittocool,and
drainthefueltankusingapumptype
syphon.
D.Starttheengineandrunituntilitshutsoff.
E.Engagethechoke.
F.Startandruntheengineuntilitdoesnot
startagain.
G.Disposeoffuelproperly.Recycleasper
localcodes.
Important:Donotstorefuelcontaining
stabilizer/conditionerlongerthanthe
durationrecommendedbythefuel-stabilizer
manufacturer.
9.Withthesparkplugremovedfromtheengine,
pour2tablespoonsofengineoilintothe
spark-plughole.
10.Placearagoverthespark-plugholetocatch
anyoilspray,thenusethestarterorrecoil
handletocranktheengineanddistributetheoil
insidethecylinder.
11.Installthesparkplug,butdonotinstallthewire
onthesparkplug.
12.Chargethebattery;refertoChargingtheBattery
(page28).
13.Checkandadjustthetracktension;referto
CheckingandAdjustingtheTrackT ension(page
30).
14.Checkandtightenallfasteners.Repairor
replaceanypartthatisdamaged.
15.Paintallscratchedorbaremetalsurfaceswith
paintavailablefromyourAuthorizedService

16.Storethemachineinaclean,drygarageor
storagearea.Removethekeyfromtheignition
switchandkeepitinamemorableplace.
17.Coverthemachinetoprotectitandkeepitclean.
