Starting the Engine
Start the engine as shown.
Note: A warm or hot engine may not require choking.
IMPORTANT
Do not engage the starter for more than 5 seconds at a time; otherwise, you can
damage the starter motor. If the engine fails to start, wait 1 minute before operating
the engine starter again.

1. Disengage the blades by moving the blade-
control switch to the O
FF position.
2. Move the motion-control levers outward to the
P
ARK position.
3. Move the throttle control between the half and
full throttle position.
4. Turn the key to the O
FF position and remove
the key.
