IMPORTANT
If you overfill or underfill the engine crankcase with oil and run the engine, you may
damage the engine.
Changing the Engine Oil and Oil Filter
1. Park the machine on a level surface to ensure that the oil drains completely.
2. Disengage the blade-control switch, and move the motion-control levers outward to the
P
ARK position.
3. Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait for all moving parts to stop before leaving
the operating position.
4. Drain the oil from the engine.

5. Change the engine-oil filter.
Note: Ensure that the oil-filter gasket touches the engine and then turn the filter an
extra 3/4 turn.
