Procedure
Ifthereareplastictiesholdingthegrassdeectorup,remove
themandlowerthedeectorintoplace.
WARNING
Anuncovereddischargeopeningcouldallowthe
machinetothrowobjectsintheoperator'sor
bystander'sdirectionandresultinseriousinjuryor
death.Also,contactwiththebladecouldoccur.
Neveroperatethemachinewithoutacoverplate,a
mulchplate,grassdeector,orbaggerinstalled.
1.Makesurethatoneendofthespringisinstalledbehind
thedeckedgebeforeinstallingtheboltasshownin
Figure4.
2.Placetheotherendofthespringaroundgrassdeector
(Figure4).
Important:Thegrassdeectormustbefreeto
rotatewithdownwardtension.Liftthedeectorup
tothefullopenpositionandensurethatitrotates
freely,withoutbindingintothefulldownposition.
