Chart detailing maintenance tasks and their recommended service intervals for the machine.

Air Cleaner

Clean and re-oil foam element every 25 hours/yearly; replace paper element every 100 hours/yearly.

Removing the Foam and Paper Elements

Steps to safely remove air cleaner foam and paper elements by opening the hood and unscrewing the cover nut.

Cleaning the Foam and Paper Elements

Wash foam element in soap/water, dry, and oil. Tap paper element to remove dust; replace if damaged.

Installing the Foam and Paper Elements

Install foam element onto paper element, then the assembly and cover onto the rod, tighten cover nut.

Engine Oil

Use detergent oil (API SF or SG). Change after first 5 hours and every 100 hours.

Checking Oil Level

Park on level surface, clean dipstick, insert fully, pull out, and check level against FULL mark.

Changing/Draining Oil

Warm engine, park on level surface, drain oil, close drain, and refill with proper oil type.

Change Oil Filter

Replace oil filter every 200 hours or every other oil change. Apply oil to gasket before installing.

Spark Plug

Check spark plug(s) every 200 hours. Use Champion RC-12YC, 0.040" gap. Use plug wrench.

Removing the Spark Plug(s)

Disconnect wire, clean around plug, then remove spark plug using a spark plug wrench.

Checking the Spark Plug
