1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengagethePTOandsettheparking
brake.Stoptheengine,waitforallmovingpartstostopandremovethekey.
2.Removethedeckbelt.DeckBeltReplacement(page6–4)
3.Removethe½inchboltsecuringthebladeandbladedrivertothespindle
shaft.
4.Removethe¾inchlocknutsecuringthepulleytothespindleshaft.Oncethe
pulleyisremoved,thespindleshaftcanbeloweredfromthespindlehousing.
Note:Viewtheorientationofthetopandbottombearingguardswhen
removingthespindleshaft.
