6. Remove the brake caliper from the transmission
(Fig. 174).

7. Remove the brake mount plate from the caliper (Fig.
175).

4. Hold the end of the threaded rod with a tool,
and with a socket wrench, remove the lock nut
and washer from the end of the cable (Fig. 172).
Remove the washer and spring.

5. Remove the two bolts retaining the brake mount
plate to the transmission (Fig. 173).
