•Engagetheparkingbrake,shutofftheengine,
removethekey,andwaitforallmovingpartsto
stopbeforeleavingtheoperator’sposition.Allow
themachinetocoolbeforeservicing,adjusting,
fueling,cleaning,orstoringit.
•Cleangrassanddebrisfromthecuttingunit,
mufer,drives,andenginecompartmenttohelp
preventres.Cleanupoilorfuelspills.
•Shutoffthefuelandremovethekeybeforestoring
ortransportingthemachine.
UsingtheDriveTrainBrake
Release
Thedrivetrainbrakereleasesarelocatedoneachof
thewheel-motorgearboxes.
Releasingthedrivetrainbrakeallowsyoutopushthe
machinewithouttheenginerunning.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Chockorblockthewheels.
3.Removeandretaintheboltsfromthegearbox
(Figure33).
4.Flipthecapinwardtothegearbox.
5.Usingtheretainedbolts,tightentheippedcap
untilthebrakereleases.
6.Reversethisproceduretoapplythebrake.
