Disc Playback
Blu-ray Disc™ Player functions are described in the following sections: Disc Playback, Playable Discs

Wide Playback Compatibility
Play with Various Media
This TV can playback the Blu-ray Disc™, DVD,
and CD.
AVCHD
Supports AVCHD, a new recording format of
high-denition video for use in camcorder.
Blu-ray Disc™ Applications
BD-J
Java applications (BD-J) compatibility of this
TV enables you to play games and interac-
tive content adding to main story view in BD-J
software playback.
PIP (BONUSVIEW™)
In PIP-featured Blu-ray Disc™ software play-
back, you can enjoy parallel view of primary
video and secondary video at scenes sub-
content included.
BD-LIVE™
This TV supports BD-LIVE™. To play
BD-LIVE™, connect this TV to the internet.
(Available BD-LIVE™ content depends on the
Blu-ray Disc™.)
Popup Menu
Popup menus included in some Blu-ray Disc™
software provide various features which can
be operated during playback. (Popup menu
content depends on the disc.)
Loading a Disc
Press TV/DISC on the remote control to select
Disc mode.
Loading the disc, with label facing forward, into
the disc slot.
The disk is inserted straight to the disc slot.
NOTE:
• For a double-sided DVD disc, rotate
the disc so the side you want to view
is facing back into the disc slot.
• Do not use excessive force when
inserting the disc.
• Do not insert more than one disc at
a time.
EJECT
Press EJECT
to eject the disc.
Remove the disc out of the way by hand.
NOTE:
• Please remove the disc after view-
ing.
• Shaking the TV may cause the disc
to fall.
• Do not load a disc which is unplay-
able, or any object other than a
playable disc.
