4.4 RIBBON SAVING MODULE (B-EX904-R-QM-R)

4. Pass the Solenoid Harness through the Cable Protector
5. Remove the tag paper from the Print Head Block.
6. Close the Print Head Block and Ribbon Shaft Holder Plate.
NOTE: DO NOT excessively push down the print head block to close it. Doing so may cause a failure of the
print head block or damage to the print head.
7. Mount the Operation Panel Ass’y while the Top Cover is half opened. Connect the Operation Panel
Harness.
8. Re-install the Side Panel (L) and close the Top Cover.
4.4.4 Parameter Setting
Set the printer parameter in the user system mode to enable the ribbon saving function. For details, refer to
Section 5.4.1.6 in the Maintenance Manual.

RBN SAVE
This parameter is to choose whether or not to activate the ribbon saving function.
To enable the ribbon saving function, select TAG or LABEL with the [UP] or [DOWN] key, depending
on the head lever position.
• TAG Ribbon saving function is enabled. (When the head lever is set to TAG position.)
• LABEL Ribbon saving function is enabled. (When the head lever is set to LABEL position)
• OFF Ribbon saving function is disabled.
