Change which device you are accessing
If more than one CANVIO HOME device resides on the same network, you can access any one of those devices.
1 On the main menu, click Settings.
2 Under Name, click the arrow to the right of the field, and click the device you want to access.
Turn HDD standby on or off
If you will not be using your CANVIO HOME device frequently, we recommend that you turn on the HDD standby feature. This
feature saves by putting the device into sleep mode after 10 minutes of activity.
This feature is turned off by default.
When your device is in sleep mode, it can take up to 30 seconds to wake up and respond the first time you try to access it.
1 On the main menu, click Settings.
2 Under Enable HDD Standby, click the button to turn the feature on or off.
Turn your device off
To exit the CANVIO HOME software, you simply close the main menu. However, you may sometimes need to turn off your
physical CANVIO HOME device—for example, to move it to another location. You use the settings to turn off the device.
1 On the main menu, click Settings.
2 Under CANVIO
®
HOME Power, click the button to turn the feature on or off.
