5 VARIOUS FUNCTIONS
COPY
The following functions and settings are available on the “COPY” menu.
SCAN
The following functions and settings are available on the “SCAN” menu.
DRAWER
The following functions and settings are available on the “DRAWER” menu.
Menu Functions Settings Description
EXPOSURE AUTO, MANUAL Sets the default setting for the density.
ORIGINAL MODE TEXT/PHOTO, TEXT, PHOTO,
BACKGROUND ERASE
Sets the default setting for the original
mode.
MAXIMUM COPIES 9, 99, 999 Sets the maximum number of copies to
be allowed.
SORT MODE PRIORITY NON SORT, SORT, ROTATE SORT Sets the default sort mode for copy jobs.
AUTO 2-SIDED MODE OFF, 1 > 2 DUPLEX, 2 > 2 DUPLEX,
USER
Sets the default auto 2-sided mode for
copy jobs.
2IN1/4IN1 ORIGINAL SIZE A3, A4, A5, B4, B5, FOLIO, 8K, 16K,
LD, LG, LT, COMP, 13”LG, ST, 8.5SQ
Sets the default setting for the original
size when using the “2IN1/4IN1” function.
ORIG. ORIENTATION - Sets the default setting for the original
orientation when using the “2IN1/4IN1”
function.
PAGE LAYOUT
2IN1:
Sets the order of the pages when using
the “2IN1/4IN1” function.
4IN1:
BACKGROUND -4 to +4 Adjusts the density of the original’s
background. It avoids the back side of a
2-sided original becoming visible on its
front side. You can change the
background from lighter to darker in nine
steps from -4 to +4.
SHARPNESS -4 to +4 Emphasizes or blurs the outline of the
image. You can change the sharpness
from softer to sharper in nine steps from -
4 to +4.
Menu Functions Settings Description
COLOR MODE BLACK, GRAY SCALE Sets the color mode to scan the data.
COMPRESS LOW, MID, HIGH Sets the compression ratio for the
scanned image data.
2-SIDED SCAN SINGLE, DUPLEX Sets the type of originals to scan.
ROTATION

Rotates the scanned data to save.
BLACK SETTING RESOLUTION 600dpi, 300dpi, 150dpi Sets the resolution for the data to scan in
the black mode.
ORIGINAL MODE TEXT, TEXT/PHOTO, PHOTO Sets the type of the original to scan in the
black mode.
EXPOSURE AUTO, Manual Sets the density level for the scanned
image data.
GRAY SETTING RESOLUTION 600dpi, 300dpi, 150dpi Sets the resolution for the data to scan in
the gray scale mode.
Menu Functions Settings Description
DRAWER 1 A3, A4, A4-R, A5-R, 8K, 16K, 16K-R,
B4, B5, B5-R, FOLIO, LD, LG, LT,
LT-R, ST-R, COMP, 13” LG, 8.5 SQ
Sets the paper size for the drawer.
DRAWER 2 Sets the paper size for the Paper Feed
Unit.
