* This adjustment will have an effect only on Black and white mode printing.
(4) Enter adjustment mode [05]. Change the values for codes [8210 to 8215] or [8252 to 8257] to adjust the
threshold values for "Pure Gray" and "Pure Black" (to adjust the area to print only using the K toner).
• Adjust the value for [05] code corresponding to the print option to be applied (Apply to, PDL, Item,
Subcode (Image quality type)).
* Printing on Macintosh is performed in PostScript. (See the "PS3" row in the table below.)
* The effect with PureBlack/Gray selected will be invalid, if "Photo" is selected from among the "Image
Quality Type" options and CIE-Based RGB/CMYK data are printed. The effect will be invalid, if Device
CMYK data are printed, regardless of which "Image Quality Type" option is selected.
The effect will be valid, only if "General," "Presentation" or "Line Art" is selected and CIE Based
RGB/CMYK data or Device RGB data are printed.
