11.5 Drum motor control circuit
The drum motor control circuit is composed as shown in the figure below. It drives the drum motor by
the drive signal output from the main CPU on the LGC board, and rotates the drum.
The drum motor is a stepping motor driven by the pulse signal (DRMA-0, DRMB-0, DRMAB-0, DRMBB-
0) output from the motor driver. These pulse signals are formed based on the reference clock signal
(DRCLK-0), and output only when the enable signal (DRMEN-1) is L level. Also, the rotation speed or
direction of the motor can be switched by changing the output timing of each pulse signal. The rotation
speed can be switched by the motor current switch signal (DRMVR-0), and the rotation direction can be
switched by the motor rotation direction switch signal (DRMCW-0).
