AUDIOCODES MP118 FXS This section of the document covers the AudioCodes MP118 setup as an
FXS gateway.
Setup IP Address Refer to “SET IP ADDRESS” on page 12-2 to set the MP118 and to
connect to the administration interface.
Setup NTP Service Refer to “Set Network Time” on page 12-3 to setup the Network Time
Protocol server.
FXS Setup 1. Select Configuration. Click on the Full radio button to display all of
the setup screens.
2. Setup DTMF dialing as events. Select Protocol Configuration >
Protocol Definition > DTMF & DIALING.
Max Digits = 12
Interdigit = 2 (can be set longer if customers dial slowly)
Declare 2833 in SDP = Yes
1st tx DTMF Opt = RFC2833
3. Click on the Submit button.
4. Select Protocol Configuration > Protocol Definition > Proxy &
Registration.
Use Default Proxy = yes
Proxy Name = The IP address of the IPrdge server
Enable Registration = Enabled
Redundancy mode = Homing
5. Click on the Submit button.
6. Select Protocol Configuration > Protocol Definition > Proxy Sets
Table.
In the Proxy Address table enter the IPedge server IP address
Set Transport Type to UDP.
7. Click on the Submit button.
8. Select Protocol Configuration > Protocol Definition > Coders. Set
the Coder Names as shown:
Coder Name Packetization Time Rate Silence Suppression
G711u-law 20 64 Disable
G729 20 8 Disable
