3.2 Executing the Diagnostic Test
To start the Repair test program, follow these steps:
Step 1: Insert the Repair test program disk in the Optical disk drive.
Step 2: Turn on the computer while pressing F12 key.
Step 3: chose ODD on the selection screen which chooses a startup drive, press the Enter
Key.
Step 4: Then, the following procedure is followed.
Procedure 1: The check and setup of Entry of the DMI information
When a system board is exchanged and DMI information is not written in, a
setup is performed here.
Refer to 3.3 Setting of the hardware configuration- subtest 01 Entry of the DMI
information (DMI Write program VX.XX) for details.
Procedure 2: The check and update of BIOS information
The BIOS version of a computer is checked, and when it is not the latest
version, it updates.
The following menu is displayed on a screen. When the BIOS update is needed.
Check update BIOS
BIOS Version = VX.XX (VX.XX) Possible to update
Does it update BIOS? (Y or N), or press [Enter] (Selection=Y)?
Pressing on an Enter key will start BIOS update.
Then, since a computer restarts, it begins from the step 2.
In addition, when not updating, press N key is pressed and then Enter key.
