4.18 Fluorescent Lamp (FL) (110CT with TFT)
CAUTION: When you remove the FL, be careful not to let any dust or other foreign
matter contaminate the LCD panel. Any contamination can affect the performance of
the unit.
Removing the FL
To remove the FL, follow the steps below and refer to Figure 4-38.
1. Turn the computer off. Disconnect the AC power cord and all external cables
connected to the computer.
2. Remove the battery pack, optional memory module, optional PC card, display
mask, FL inverter board, and LCD module as described in Sections 4.2, 4.3, 4.4,
4.13, 4.14, and 4.16.
3. Place the FL face down and remove two M2x6 silver screws and an inch screw
securing the metal FL cover.
4. Lift off the metal FL cover.
5. Lift the FL out of the frame.
