Connecting the printer cable to the parallel port
3 Turn the computer off.
4 Connect the
printer cable
to the computer’s
parallel port
.
Don’t connect the printer cable if the computer’s power is on.
Doing so may cause damage to the printer, the computer or
both.
5 Plug the printer’s power cable into a live AC outlet.
Open the Display
The final step before you turn your computer on is to open the
display.

1 Facing the front of the computer, locate the
display latch
on
the front center of the display panel.
