4.6 ODD
Removing the ODD
NOTE: The installation and removal procedures are the same for all the modules that can be
installed in the ODD bay. See the appropriate sections for the disassembly procedures of
specific modules.
Remove the ODD (optical disc drive) according to the following procedures and Figure 4.10.
1. Turn the laptop upside down.
2. Remove the one M2.5x5 screw securing the ODD.
3. Push the ODD outward as indicated in Figure 4.10 and then remove the ODD.

CAUTION: Handle the ODD carefully. It can become hot during operation.
Installing the ODD
Install the ODD according to the following procedures.
