4.12 Floppy Disk Drive and Mouse/KB Board
Removing the Floppy Disk Drive and MouselKB Board
To remove the T1900rr1900C's floppy disk drive and mouseIKB board, follow the steps
below and refer
to Figures 4-23 through 4-25.
1. Tum off the power to the T 1900rr 1900C, and, if attached, disconnect the AC
adapter, power cord and all external cables connected to the computer.
2. Remove the battery pack, optional memory card, optional PCMCIA card, top
cover, keyboard, lIDO, display mask, display assembly, upper system board, and
lower system board as described
in Sections 4.2 through 4.11.
3. Remove the two Ml.5x6 screws on the mouseIKB board assembly (Figure 4-
23).
4. Lift the left side
of the FDD unit with mouseIKB board assembly and slowly
pull it
to the left to remove the assembly from the chassis (Figure 4-23).

5. To separate the mouseIKB board and FDD unit, remove the two Ml.5x4 screws
(Figure 4-24).
