Procedure 3 Format Check
The
T1900ff1900C's
lIDO
is fonnatted using the low level fonnat program and the MS-
DOS
FORMAT program.
To
fonnat the lIDO, start with Check 1 below and perform the
other. steps as required.
Check 1
Using the Toshiba MS-DOS system disk, partition the hard disk using the FDISK
command. Fonnat the hard disk using
FORMAT
C:ISIU
to
transfer the system
program
to
the lIDO.
If
the following message appears on the display, the
lIDO
is
formatted.
Format
complete
If
any other error message appears
on
the display, refer
to
the
Toshiba
MS-DOS
Manual for more information and perform Check 2.
Check 2
Using the T1900ff1900C Diagnostic Disk, format the HOD with a low level
format option. Refer
to
Chapter 3, Test
and
Diagnostics for more information
about the diagnostic program.
If
the following message appears on the display, the
lIDO
low level format is
complete.
Format
complete
Partition and format the HOD using the MS-DOS FORMAT command.
If
you cannot format the HOD using the Test and Diagnostic program, go
to
Procedure 4.
